In holidays in Ireland with dog or cat

The dog or the cat need an EU-passport which can be asked at the veterinarian. He will fill out the passport and tell you if you have to go to another place too.

The animal needs to have a microchip - it doesn't hurt and goes under the skin with a syringe.

The anti-rabies has to be done and the blood send to a special institute to be verified. For results you have to wait also a few weeks.

After getting the results you have to wait another 6 month before going to Ireland..

24–48 hours before entering the country the animal has to be treated against flee and tick. It must be shown in the passport and done by the veterinarian.

More information get here.

The costs are about 60-80,- per animal. All vet do have a list where to send the blood improvement.
